Kennedy announced Aug. 22 that he has suspended his campaign. While he said this doesn’t mean he’s dropping out of the race entirely, he requested to be taken off the ballot in key swing states and endorsed former President Donald Trump, the GOP nominee.
Vice President Kamala Harris will appear on the ballot as the Democratic Party nominee.

While Alabama is not considered a swing state — the GOP presidential candidate has earned Alabama’s nine electoral votes in every election since 1980 — the deadline to file for candidacy was Aug. 23, shortly after Kennedy suspended his campaign.
Election Day is Nov. 5, which falls on a Tuesday.
